APC senators as of August 14, 2018 (full list)

- The All Progressives Congress currently has 57 senators while the opposition Peoples Democratic Party has 48 senators
- The All Progressives Grand Alliance and the African Democratic Congress have two each

 - If you exclude Senator Joshua Dariye of Plateau state from APC list of Senators because of his recent sentence, APC will be left with 56 senators

As the 2019 general elections draw nearer, Nigeria's political sphere has been experiencing gale of defections in the past few weeks, and politicians have sworn loyalty to parties where their political ambitions could come to fruition. According to APC newspaper, the 8th Senate currently has 54 senators, who are members of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and 48 Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) senators. NAIJ.com gathers that there are other four senators, two of whom are from the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) and the other two are from African Democratic Congress (ADC).
