Pep Guardiola’s men have pulled the trigger 91 times - resulting in a league-high 11 goals so far. The three teams above City in the actual table are Chelsea, Liverpool and Watford. Chelsea confirm squad numbers for summer arrivals

Chelsea have confirmed the squad numbers for new signings Mateo Kovacic and Kepa Arrizabalaga after their moves to Stamford Bridge.
Kepa replaced Thibaut Courtois as the first choice between the sticks, and as such has been given the number one shirt, though rather confusingly, the Belgian had held the 13 jersey before his move to Santiago Bernabeu.

Backup ‘keeper Willy Caballero has now changed to 13, allowing the young Spaniard to be official no.1, while new midfielder Mateo Kovacic, who is spending the campaign on loan with the club, takes the 17 shirt.

Another new arrival Jorginho had already been confirmed as taking the number 5, former England international Rob Green gets 31, while Alvaro Morata also changed from 9 to 29 for this season, with the full list now up on club’s official site.

Chelsea are looking strong and giving supporters hope of improvement after last season’s disappointing fifth-place finish.

Maurizio Sarri has come in to replace compatriot Antonio Conte as Chelsea head coach, and though losing Thibaut Courtois is a blow and the London club could perhaps have done with a new striker, the additions of Kepa, Jorginho and Kovacic look promising.
