Chelsea Hoping To Pull Off Blockbuster Swap Deal For 22 Y/O Manchester United Forward

Chelsea are looking to secure a deal for Manchester United striker Anthony Martial this summer. According to the Sunday Mirror, as reported by Calciomercato, the Pensioners are lining up a sensational swap deal to land the French youngster during this summer transfer period.
It is understood that the Blues are prepared to offer Willian as part of a swap deal for United outcast Martial in the coming days before the transfer period comes to a halt on Thursday. Both players have been linked with a number of teams recently and their future at the respective clubs seem uncertain as of this moment.

Both Chelsea and Manchester United value Willian and Martial at €75m, hence, a potential swap deal could benefit everyone involved. The Brazilian was heavily involved for his country in the 2018 FIFA World Cup while the French starlet was excluded from Didier Deschamps’ World Cup winning French squad after his lack-lustre performances for the Red Devils last season.

Both players are in need of a change to reignite their career and a potential swap could turn out to beneficial for all parties.

Willian is currently at his prime and has enjoyed a successful few years in the English top-flight since his move from Anzhi Makhachkala in the summer of 2013. The Brazilian international has made 166 appearances in the top tier of English football, scoring 25 goals while creating 25 assists.

On the other hand, Martial is just 22 and has his peak years ahead of him. He has had a stop-start season last term as he was a sporadic feature in Jose Mourinho’s first team. Martial has featured in 86 league matches for United, scoring 24 goals while grabbing 15 assists.
