Late transfer deal- Manchester United transfer hinge on Arsenal

Barcelona are looking to sign Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba, but can only make a move if Arsenal completes a deal for his compatriot Ousmane Dembele, according to The Daily Star.
Pogba has been linked with a move away from Old Trafford for some time, with some reports claiming that a rift exists between the midfielder and the Portuguese manager.

The World Cup winner who broke the world transfer record at the time, when he returned to Old Trafford from Juventus was inconsistent last season prompting confrontations with his manager.

Barcelona are believed to be interested in a move for the 25-year-old with the Daily Mail claiming that his agent Mino Raiola is trying to push through a move to the Spanish giants.

Barcelona currently does not have the finance to pursue a deal of that magnitude but could be able to do so if Arsenal makes a move for OusmaneDembele.

The French winger’s future at Barcelona has been uncertain from the time they signed Brazilian winger Malcom from Bordeaux. Malcom’s impressive displays in pre-season adding to Dembele’s less than impressive World Cup display has now made his position at the club even more precarious.

The club chiefs are willing to sell, but are looking to recoup the £96 million they paid upfront for him last summer, and though Arsenal are interested, they don’t have such funds either.

However, there are now rumours that the Gunners are constructing a deal which will include a loan, with an obligation to buy next summer. Should they pull off the deal, Barca will be able to make a move for Pogba.
