Manchester United Transfer News: Claims Emerging Of Possible £138m Signing On Deadline Day

As per reports emerging from the Express, Manchester United are looking to rush through with a mega deal to secure the services of the Serbian midfielder Sergej Milinkovic Savic.
The player has been linked with some of the biggest clubs in Europe since the last couple of seasons and might be finally on his way to make a move out of Lazio this summer.

Manchester United might be on their way to let the influential midfielder Paul Pogba leave Old Trafford this summer, with the Spanish giants Barcelona keeping their tabs on him. This makes the pursuit for the 23-year-old midfield ace even more important as the Red Devils need to seal it with little time left to the end of the summer transfer window.

The player’s performance in the last few years for the Serie A club has attracted a number of big name clubs to pursue his signature including Real Madrid. It is expected that they will make a move for Savic this summer as they might be on the verge of losing their talismanic midfielder Luka Modric to Inter Milan, which can be a big blow for Manchester United. So, the Red Devils have no more time to waste and need to make a substantial bid to land the player ahead of the Galacticos.

According to the report, United might look to lure Savic with a deal that tops £138m. However, Lazio are expected to make every possible attempt to keep the 23-year-old midfield enforcer with them and Mourinho’s men seem to have a fight on their hands for sure. Losing Pogba to Barcelona and not being able to land Savic as a replacement will spell disaster for the 13 time Premier League champions for sure.
